Former Illinois Player Dies During Workout
Campus officials say a football player at Winona State University, who recently transferred from Illinois, has died while working out with teammates.
Winona State said in a news release that 22-year-old Shawn Afryl died Monday during a workout at Maxwell Field on campus.

U of I Football to Play a Couple Morning Games
Illinois will open the football season with a pair of morning games.
The Big Ten set 11 a.m. kickoff times for the Illini's August 30th opener at home against Youngstown State and the September 6th game against Western Kentucky.
Both of those games will be televised by the Big Ten Network.
So far, times have been set for six of Illinois' 12 games.

Bulls Make Trades to Clear Salary Cap
The Chicago Bulls have made two trades to clear salary-cap space, setting the stage for the addition of free-agent center Pau Gasol.
