Thursday, 4 April 2024

There is no doubt Hinkle Fieldhouse will be electric tonight, as Indianapolis hosts the NIT Championship game, featuring the Seton Hall Pirates versus the Indiana State Sycamores in the most important game of the season.

According to ESPN.com, regarding the Indiana State Sycamores' history against the Pirates, this will be the first time in franchise history that the Sycamores will face the Seton Hall squad.

This game will not be easy for either side, noting Seton Hall's last game where 5 Seton hall pirates scored in double figures their last time out, including 20 points from Al-Amir Dawes, paving the victory for Seton Hall as they defeated Georgia 84-67 in the Semifinals.

For the Sycamores on the other hand, Indiana State is looking to build on star Ryan Conwell's performance in his last outing; Indiana State University Athletics' website accreditting him with 27 points, along with four three-pointers, as well as Robbie Avila's 26 points and 10 rebounds against Utah.

Indiana State University Athletics' website says this season is the Sycamores' best recorded season since the 1978-79 season, previously led to the NCAA National Championship game, thanks in part to NBA hall of famer Larry Bird.

The winner-take-all matchup between the Sycamores and the Pirates is set to tip-off Tonight in Indianapolis, slated for 6:00 CST.
