Eastern Illinois head football coach Dino Babers has announced the hiring of Matt Mattox as the Panthers new offensive line coach.
Mattox began his career as the assistant strength coach at the University of Houston, later coaching their offensive tackles in 2006 when Houston made an appearance in the Liberty Bowl.
He joins the Panthers after spending last season as the offensive coordinator for Coffeyville Community College in Kansas.
The Panthers finished the 2012 season with a first-round loss to San Diego State University.
