A Shelby County government official accused of theft needs more time to hire an attorney.
51-year-old Nancy Finley appeared in court Wednesday morning.
She is accused of stealing more than $100,000 from the village of Tower Hill where she served as treasurer.
A judge set another hearing for January 5th.
Finley is currently out of jail on bond.
