U of I Battlefield Technology

The University of Illinois is collaborating with the U.S. Army to research and advance battlefield technology.
The U of I was picked to partner with the U.S. Army for a 10 year project costing 25-million dollars.
The research will allow faculty and students to develop weapons and armour to improve battlefield technology.
U of I Professor Tarek Abdelzahar says the main goal of the program is to create superior defense capabilities for the future.
