The Coles County sheriff's department needs the pubic's help in solving a 40 year old murder case.
Police said Linda Shriver of Mattoon was 23-years-old when she was murdered in March of 19-74.
Officials said she was last seen in Mattoon cruising in her Mercury Montego.
They said witnesses recall seeing men trying to enter her vehicle.
Authorities have interviewed multiple people but have yet to make an arrest.
Police said if you have any information about her death or know anyone who might know something, call the sheriffs department.
They're also asking people to share the information on social media.
