The University of Illinois plans to reopen its oldest academic building at the Champaign-Urbana campus this summer.
U of I officials said the Natural History Building will see faculty again May 16th, after commencement.
The $78 million renovation added high-tech classrooms and modern labs with data ports along the hallways, said officials.
The school also said the renovation started after a 2010 inspection found structural problems and sagging concrete in the building.
