University of Illinois' police department has released the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report for 2016.

The report shows a decreasing trend for crime in the U of I area.

The ASFSR says eight counts of on campus rape were reported in 2015, down one from 2014 and down four from 2013.

The report also says on campus robberies in 2015 were at three, down three from 2014 and down seven from 2013.

Police officials say four incidents of aggravated assualt were reported on campus in 2015, down ten from 2014 and down six from 2013.

Officials also say Off campus burglaries were reported at 14 in 2015, up seven from 2014 and up one from 2013.

The annual report says arrests for violating a liquor law were at 14 in 2015, down 16 from 2014 and down 26 from 2013.
