Mattoon Prostitution Update

A Mattoon man is arrested in connection to prostitution.
The Mattoon Police Department says 24-year-old Christopher Tomasello is charged with patronizing a prostitute.
Mattoon police say the charge alleges that Tomasello knowingly engaged in sexual acts with a prostitute on September 20th.
Police also say the charges are connected with the home invasion where Anthony Tate was arrested.
Officials say Tate forced himself into a Mattoon home, beat the resident with a club, and stole a television.
They say Tate was acting as a bodyguard for prostitutes.
Coles County State's Attorney's Office says formal charges against Tomasello are pending.
