University officials say U of I graduate and CEO of Foxconn Interconnect Technology, Sidney Lu, gave the university twelve million dollars to pay for an addition to the school's engineering building.
They say the university is putting in eleven million dollars on the renovation project.Officials say the construction of the center is expected to start in 2017.
They say the center will be five-stories, totaling 36,000 square feet of space.
