It was Opening Day on the Northside of Chicago, as the Cubs began their homestand with a series against the Milwaukee Brewers.

Edwin Jackson took the mound for the Cubs and gave up five runs in the first two innings, but settled down for four scoreless before his departure.

Two more runs for each side made the score 7-2 heading into the final inning.

The Cubs scored two in the ninth to pull within three, but struck out three consecutive times with the bases loaded to fall to the Brewers 7-4.

Tomorrow's game between the two is set to start just after 7pm at Wrigley Field.
