The Eastern Illinois baseball team defeated Illinois College 8-5 at Coaches Stadium this afternoon, extending their winning streak to six games.
The Panthers trailed 1-0 in the bottom of the second inning, but scored six runs in the bottom of the third to take a five run lead.
Illinois College attempted to close the gap by scoring three runs in the eighth inning, but the Panthers managed to hold on to win by three.
The Panthers now travel to play Tennessee Tech Friday at six.
