Drought Over in Illinois

While some dread the newly fallen snow... others are relieved to see it!

The snow we received Sunday brought unusually heavy wet snow to the state, helping to recover from the drought of 2012.

Illinois is officially out of the drought, and any precipitation will only help to keep the state from returning to dry conditions this year.

Climatologists say the recent storm should help conditions, but that depends on how much snow melts and runs off into rivers and streams.
