Champaign Heroin

Wednesday, 25 February 2015

A particularly lethal form of heroin is responsible for two deaths in Champaign.

Police say this strain of the drug is linked to two deaths and at least eight others have needed medical treatment.

Champaign Police Chief Anthony Cobb says ten overdoses in more than a week is an unusually high number.

Police are asking the public for help in finding the source of the lethal drug and urge anybody using heroin to call 911 if they become ill.
