One man is dead after an early morning house fire in Edgar County.
Edgar County Coroner Peter Templeton pronounced the 59-year-old dead at the scene on Illinois Route One in rural Dennison.
Templeton says the official cause of death has yet to be determined, but is consistent with carbon monoxide poisoning from smoke inhalation.
Templeton says the man's name will be released once family is notified.
Officials say based on current evidence they don't suspect foul play, but the investigation is ongoing.
