Police arrest a long-time daycare operator in Champaign County.
Authorities say 54-year-old Debbie May was charged Wednesday with aggravated battery to a child.
Police say May seriously injured a six month-old boy in her care last week.
According to prosecutors, May called the boy's mother November 5th saying he was acting unusually.
When the boy's parents took him to the hospital, they say he was limp and moaning.
Doctors say the infant's injuries required adult force trauma and were not accidental.
Authorities say the boy is hospitalized with a brain injury and a broken wrist.
If convicted, May faces up to 30 years in prison.
