Effingham Marijuana Investment

Wednesday, 12 November 2014

Investors in a potential medical marijuana growing operation are not giving up just yet.

Last month, the Effingham City Council rejected a zoning proposal for the cultivation center.

Now the investors want a second chance before the city council next week.

Officials say investors are offering up to one million dollars to local schools to show how serious they are about helping the community.

Officials say the money, given over a ten year period, would go towards training potential workers.

The meeting on the 18th starts at 6:30 in city hall.
