Ohio Valley coaches and sports information directors don't have confidence in Eastern for the upcoming men's basketball season.
They selected the Panthers to finish fifth in the OVC West division, out of six teams during the annual preseason poll.
According to that poll Murray State is the favorite to win the Panthers division and Belmont is the favorite in the OVC East.
Out of twelve teams in the OVC total, only three teams were picked to finish worse than Eastern.
The Panthers will look to prove the voters wrong when they open up the season November 14th, against Missouri State.
