Professional basketball is headed to Champaign.
The Champaign Swarm will be one of the six charter members from a new league, the Midwest Professional Basketball Association, joining the Bloomington Flex and the Chicago Force.
The Swarm will play their home games at Parkland College in Champaign and former University of Illinois PA announcer, Jim Sheppard, will serve as the General Manager.
