A Mattoon man charged with aggravated battery to a child pleads not guilty.
Michael Nadolny is accused of causing bodily harm to an 11-month-old on February 3rd.
Mattoon police say the child was in Nadolny's care when he allegedly struck the child in the head.
The infant was taken to Sarah Busch Lincoln Hospital in Mattoon and later airlifted to Carle Hospital in Urbana.
In a hearing on Monday, Nadolny pleaded not guilty and requested a jury trial.
He's scheduled to appear in court again March 17th.
