The Arcola school district is forced to make cuts next year. At a meeting Wednesday night, the board discussed cutting golf, freshman sports, a social studies teacher and all paraprofessionals. Superintendent Jean Chrostoski says the goal is to cut around $300,000 without jeopardizing academic programs. Chrostoski says with the state behind on payments, more cuts are expected in the future.
