The month of April is the beginning of planting season for farmers here in Illinois, but so far they've seen more showers than clear days. Today, farmers are out and about trying to beat the rush to get planting. In order for farmers get the job done properly, safety is always the priority. The Illinois State Police says you should slow down when encountering slow moving vehicles pass with extreme caution and be aware that the farmer may not be able to see you because of the large equipment.
