Neoga Budget Cuts

Tuesday, 12 February 2013

The Neoga School District will possibly be making some major cuts in the 2013-2014 school year, a move that would save the district almost a half a million dollars. The district says they'll look at everything from personnel to sports programs as well as implementing hiring freezes and freezing salaries for administrators. Superintendent Chuck Castle says the state has cut funding in years past, and next year they're expected to cut even more. He says Neoga is expecting to lay off 12 teachers as a result.
