A Champaign County man accused of murdering his mother and setting a fire to hide her death is found fit to stand trial.
The Champaign County Circuit Court found Terry Brownlee, 32, fit to stand trial for the murder of his mother Sharon "Shirley" Brownlee, 61, of Urbana.
Terry is charged with four counts of murder, one count of aggravated arson, residential arson, and concealing a homicide.
On the morning of April 12th, Champaign firefighters responded to an apartment fire on South State Street.
Shirley's body was found burned in the apartment, and police say she also had several stab wounds.
Terry's next court appearance is December 17th.
