Coles County Development

Wednesday, 30 October 2013

Coles County had their joint city council meeting Tuesday night, discovering there's been many changes since the last time they met. Vice President of Coles Together Anthony Pleasant says the biggest change is local industries are expanding. He says more than 200 new jobs have been established in the county over years. Pleasant says right now the problem in the county is a lack of industrial space. Officials plan to continue economic growth even though space has run out. To do this, they say they will be partnering with Ameren to plan spec building sites to keep them in competition with communities that have physical sites to offer.
