Tim Beckman Responds

Wednesday, 11 September 2013

University of Illinois football head coach Tim Beckman says he saw none of the alleged improprieties at Oklahoma State University while he coached there in 2007 and 2008.

A recent Sports Illustrated article alleges a range of problems from 1991 through 2011, including claims of players being paid by boosters to have their school work completed for them.

The second year Illini head coach says he's never broken rules as a coach, and wouldn't have gone along with any of the alleged improprieties if he'd known about them.

The Illini play the University of Washington this Saturday at Soldier Field in Chicago.
