After the highest scoring game in the series last year, the fireworks will still fly when the Eastern Illinois football team
faces off against Illinois State University Saturday for the 102nd time.
The historic rivalry will present some higher stakes than in years past with both clubs ranked in the top 25.
Eastern is coming off their first 2-0 start to the season on the road in school history while the Redbirds dropped their
only game of the season, falling 51-28 to Ball State University.
Jimmy Garoppolo and Erik Lora will lead the ninth ranked Panthers into battle, already hooking up for over 200 yards and
3 touchdowns on the year.
This game starts at 6 P.M. on Saturday at O'Brien Field in Charleston.
