A crash between a freight train and an all-terrain vehicle has left one man dead near Teutopolis.
Authorities say the ATV driven by 81-year-old Thomas Miller collided with the west bound train Thursday morning along U.S. Highway 40 near Teutopolis.
Effingham County Coroner Duane Guffey says Miller was the only person on the ATV at the time of the crash.
Guffey says Miller died at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
