Two Edgar County brothers are going to prison for having child pornography.
Robert (47) and Toby Porter (39) of Paris pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography on Friday, April 19th, Attorney General Kwame Raoul said.
Robert was sentenced to ten years in prison and Toby was sentenced to five.
The brothers were arrested after the Attorney General's Office and the Edgar County Sheriff's Office searched their home and found evidence of child porn last August, Attorney General Kwame Raoul said.
The Illinois Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force saw a 46% increase in tips about child porn in 2023, Raoul said.
