Clark County Is Starting A New Initiative For Its Residents

Friday, 19 April 2024

The Clark County is starting a new alert system "Hyper-Reach" and encouraging residents to enroll in the program.

Telephone based mass notification systems are used by thousands of public safety agencies across the United States to warn citizens about local emergenies, hazards and other threats.

The system will send rapid notification of hazardous and urgent situations using a mix of telephone calls, text and email messages.

The County plans to use the service for alerts about weather, criminal activity and missing people.

Residents and people who work in Clark County are encouraged to enroll now by calling or texting "Alert" to 217-293-2323, or by visiting the website: http://hyper-reach.com/ilclarksignup.html. or by using Alexa.

Residents can download the free Hyper-Reach Anywhere app on their smartphones.
