The body of a Tuscola man is found in a Christian County lake after a boating accident.
Director of Communication for the Illinois Department of Natural Resources Ed Cross says 30-year-old Kenneth Christopher Adkins was found by a dive team on Saturday in Lake Sangchris.
Adkins and another passenger noticed their boat filling with water as they headed back to the docks, then the boat took a nose dive sending both men into the water.
Neither men were wearing life vests as they swam to a nearby buoy.
The passenger made it safely and was able to call for help.
Christian County Coroner Amy Winans says Adkins died from drowning.
