A meeting is planned by the Mattoon school district to go over the response related to the September 20th shooting.
The school district said they plan to meet with law enforcement and emergency responders in the coming days.
They said for the past 12 years, school officials have met with first responders to review the emergency plans for each building and have annual practice drills with staff members.
They said the shooter was a student, and is charged with aggravated battery with a firearm.
Officials said no motive has been released, and officials say more than 250 students and staff members have been interviewed.
