A Decatur sailor whose remains were recovered from the USS John McCain was laid to rest.
23-year-old Logan Palmer was one of the 10 sailors on the ship when it collided with an oil tanker last month.
Palmer's body returned to central Illinois Friday, and his funeral was earlier today.
Palmer was an Eagle Scout, active church member and was committed to making the Navy a career.
