In Coles County, a witness pulls two people from a burning car.
On Sunday morning the Lincoln Fire Protection District was dispatched to a car on fire at Lerna Road and County Rd. 550 N.
They said a car driven by 20-year-old Bradley Cole ran off the road, hit a tree and caught fire.
Cole and his passenger 19-year-old Jordan Howard were pulled from the vehicle by a witness at the scene.
Firefighters said the two men were transported to the hospital.
Officials said the accident is currently under investigation by the Coles County sheriff's office and charges are pending.
