A Champaign man is facing murder charges after an early morning shooting.
Police say they were called to a public parking lot early Sunday morning in the 300 block of North Walnut Street.
They say they found a 30-year-old man with a gunshot wound.
Officials say the victim was taken to Carle Hospital where he died from injuries.
28-year-old David Denson is charged with first degree murder and remains in jail on a 1.5 million dollar bond.
His first appearance in court for this case is pending.
