A Hutsonville man drowns after a failed attempt to recover his boat.
Conservation officer Dustin Taylor said 59 year-old Torrence Stevens was loading a boat with his wife when the boat got away from them.
Taylor said Stevens then tried to recover the boat, but wasn't successful when swimming back to shore.
The incident happened Wednesday, south of Stevens' privately owned property.
