While there's no signs of the state budget impasse coming to an end, the Charleston city council is approving their budget for next year.
Council members approved the 2018 budget at their meeting on Tuesday.
The budget is expected to be balanced at around $14.3 million.
The coming year's budget starts on May 1st and lasts until April 30th of next year.
