The city of Effingham could add a few more requirements for those wanting to use solar panels.
The proposal would require Effingham residents to receive a permit to install solar panels on their homes.
The ordinance would also limit homeowners to covering up to 60% of their roof in solar panels as well.
The city council is set to vote on the proposal at their April 18th meeting.
