Farmers will be taking to the skies to scout crops this spring.

Beck's the largest family owned retail seed company in the U.S. announced this week they'll be training pilots at Indiana State University to operate unmanned aerial vehicles.

Beck's is expecting to have 50 pilots trained before the program is implemented.

The move was made to help farmers scout their crops for the spring season.
