A Newton high school student is facing disciplinary action after writing threats on school walls.
Jasper County State's Attorney Chad Miller says the threats were directed towards another student.
School officials say the suspect was removed from the school and an investigation into the matter continues.
Authorities say the suspect is a juvenile and will be tried in the juvenile court system.
School leaders say they will be increasing security over the next several days.
