It's not the temperature you normally see in February. Farmers are taking advantage of the warm weather. Farmers Stan Metzger and Paul Dailey are doing on a day like today. They have time to fix equipment if needed and fertilize all without worrying about snow or rain. They say this will help when it comes time to plant in the spring. Dailey and Metzger say in 2012 the weather in February was similar to this year and it resulted in a dry and hot summer. They say it's still early to determine but they hope that's not the case again. Both Metzger and Dailey say mid-April is when they'll start planting.
