Charleston police also arrest two suspects involved in a robbery.
Police said they arrested 22-year-old DeQuan Johnson and 23-year-old Darrion Christmas after they responded to a home at 500 6th Street on Thursday.
Detectives say one suspect displayed a handgun before both allegedly robbed the home.
A Police official said Johnson has addresses in Charleston and Chicago and Christmas is from Chicago.
Charleston police, along with Eastern Illinois University police are still investigating the incident.
