Plans for a new surgery center in central Illinois are approved.
Carle Hospital officials say they'll build the new facility in southwest Champaign to meet the increasing need for care in the community.
Officials say the new location will have more patient care space, additional operating rooms, recovery space and staff work space.
Construction is scheduled to start later this spring.
