A Federal grand jury has indicted two former Vigo County Indiana school officials.
The indictment charges former Vigo County school corporation director Frank Fennell and ex-Vigo County sheriff's deputy Frank Shahadey with nine counts of wire fraud and one count of theft.
The two men are accused of receiving federal funds for allegedly taking kickbacks from a contractor for more than two years.
According to court documents, the contractor completed 58 jobs for the Vigo school corporation for an inflated total cost of $440,000 dollars, $ 80,000 of which went to Fennell and Shahadey.
The FBI raided the school district June 8th.
The school corporation fired both men.
