To the pitching wedge, Taylorville's very own Dave Ryan wins the U.S. Senior Amateur.
Ryan took the first five of six holes against Matthew Sughrue in the championship match today!
Things got close after the fifteenth hole where Sughrue tied it up with an even hole count after Ryan got a bogey.
Sughrue would bogey on the sixteenth and eighteenth finishing one over par, while Ryan finished one under.
Ryan was able to walk away with a trophy by his in his hands.
The tournament started September 17th in St. Louis. at the Old Warson Country Club.
