Eastern Illinois softball welcomes a new face as they make a push for the postseason.
She will not join the team until the fall, but Eastern head coach Angie Nicholson announced today junior college transfer Kiley Pelker will sign with the Panthers.
Pelker hit .306 in two seasons at John Logan Community College.
As for the current EIU softball team, they have won 10 of their last 11 games and sit in third place in the Ohio Valley Conference.
Next up is a weekend road series against SIUE.
