U of I Expensive AD Search

Monday, 25 April 2016

The search for the University of Illinois' new athletic director turns out to be an expensive process.
The school spent more than $20,000 on flights, hotels and other travel expenses for candidates interviewing in Indianapolis.
The company hired to consult on the search is also charging the university a $140,000 fee, plus expenses.
A university spokeswoman says conducting the search off campus is necessary to protect the process' integrity and the candidates' privacy.
