Plans are moving forward at the University of Illinois and its new medical school.
The university has formed an 18 member committee to build the curriculum for the Carle Illinois College of Medicine, focusing on engineering and technology in medicine.
The University Trustees approved the new medical school in March.
Officials say the college is expected to accept its first class of students in 2018.
