A local college plans to vote tonight on a plan to pay off some substantial debt.
Lake Land Vice President for Business Services Ray Rieck says the board of trustees are looking to increase the college district's property tax levy.
Rieck says this won't be a substantial increase for landowners in Lake Land's district.
He says the levy would increase the tax bill for a $100,0000 home by approximately $12.00 per year.
Overall, Reick says the tax would generate more than 11 million dollars to help pay off building rennovations and improvements around campus.
The trustees meet Monday night at 6 P.M. in Web Hall.
