A former Eastern Illinois University football player is getting his chance at the big time.
The Jacksonville Jaguars signed Erik Lora and he could have a chance to play this weekend.
Jacksonville takes on the Detroit Lions Friday, and then finish up the preseason against the Washington Redskins next Thursday.
Before signing with the Jaguars yesterday, Lora spent some time with the Detroit Lions, but he was released before the team started training camp.
During his career at EIU, Lora set the Football Championship Subdivision record for pass receptions in 2012 with 136 catches for 1,664 yards.
